Lecture Notes

These are slides from a talk delivered in the special session on Character Varieties at the 2017 Joint Mathematics Meetings (January 5, 2017).

These are slides from a talk delivered in the special session on Symplectic Geometry and Equivariant Topology at the summer meeting of the Canadian Mathematical Society (June 6-9, 2014).

These are slides from a talk delivered at the Structured Ring Spectra – TNG conference in Hamburg (August 5, 2011). Here is a slightly longer version with a bit more detail.

These are slides from a colloquium delivered at UT El Paso (September 10, 2010).

These are slides from a lecture delivered at the special session in honor of Bill Singer, during the AMS Sectional Meeting at Wesleyan University.

These are notes from a series of three lectures I gave at Stanford in Fall 2004, typed up by Virgil Chan. They cover Swan's theorem, the Q-construction, the isomorphism pi_1 Q = K_0, Bloch's formula, and Devissage. Here are the original handwritten notes: Part I Part II Part III

These notes were distributed by Marshall Cohen in his Spring 2001 Algebraic Topology course at Cornell. The notes give a short proof of Klee’s Trick, and then use the Trick to deduce the Jordan-Brouwer Separation Theorem and Invariance of Domain. (Posted with permission. Some of my own scribbling is also present.)
